The meeting took place with about 60 participants of the 3 main regions of the project (Sub-Saharan African countries French speaking and English speaking, Caribbean States), the EC representatives (DG INTPA, CLIMA and MOVE), representatives of RSOOs and EASA.
AFCAC, LACAC, ECCAA and several RSOOs (e.g. CASSOA, CASSOS) have been invited and actively participated in support to all the beneficiaries attending the event.
The event has been warmly opened by EASA as Secretary of the Board (Thomas Mickler, Head of International Cooperation Department) after the welcome introduction of the Chairman (Vincent Picard, DG INTPA PM) thanking the many high-level representatives of all the institutions and expressing much appreciation to the EC (DG INTCP, DG CLIMA, DG MOVE) for the continuous support given to the EASA project team in a very collaborative spirit.
EASA's environmental expert Joonas Laukia has participated and greatly contributed to the event also to tackle the Environmental developments at ICAO forums (e.g. in relation of the expected CORSIA periodic review at A41).
The workplan for 2022 has been presented, along with the activities performed in 2021. The Workplan will be distributed to the participants in English and French for review and comments and then will be considered as final to be endorsed after having been presented and accepted by the Project Steering Committee, in a meeting in Q1 2022.
The PMB having an advisory role, has also allowed the opportunity to gather contributions and inputs on the joint organisation (with AFCAC and LACAC) of two upcoming Workshops, one in Africa and another in the Caribbean, to take place tentatively in June time frame.

La réunion s'est déroulée avec environ 60 participants des 3 principales régions du projet (pays d'Afrique sub-saharienne francophones et anglophones, Etats des Caraïbes), les représentants de la CE (DG INTPA, CLIMA et MOVE), les représentants des RSOOs et de l'EASA.
L'AFCAC, LACAC, ECCAA et plusieurs RSOO (par exemple CASSOA, CASSOS) ont été invités et ont participé activement au soutien de tous les bénéficiaires présents à l'événement.
L'événement a été chaleureusement ouvert par le secrétaire du conseil d'administration de l'AESA (Thomas Mickler, chef du département de la coopération internationale) après l'introduction du président (Vincent Picard, DG INTPA PM) qui a remercié les nombreux représentants de haut niveau de toutes les institutions et a exprimé sa gratitude à la CE (DG INTCP, DG CLIMA, DG MOVE) pour le soutien continu apporté à l'équipe du projet de l'AESA dans un esprit de collaboration.
L'expert en environnement de l'AESA, Joonas Laukia, a participé à l'événement et y a grandement contribué, notamment en abordant les développements environnementaux dans les forums de l'OACI (par exemple, en relation avec la révision périodique attendue de CORSIA à l'A41).
Le plan de travail pour 2022 a été présenté, ainsi que les activités réalisées en 2021. Le plan de travail sera distribué aux participants en anglais et en français pour examen et commentaires, puis sera considéré comme final pour être approuvé après avoir été présenté et accepté par le Comité directeur du projet, lors d'une réunion au premier trimestre 2022.
Le PMB ayant un rôle consultatif, il a également permis de recueillir des contributions et des apports sur l'organisation conjointe (avec l'AFCAC et la LACAC) de deux prochains ateliers, l'un en Afrique et l'autre dans les Caraïbes, qui auront lieu provisoirement en juin.
